which lens are better: Leica or Zeiss?

I have an f1.4 t planar 50mm Carl Zeiss F mount lens for nikon, it is fully manual and produces fairly crisp images. I have been looking around to see if Leica 50mm are built with finer glass quality and could blow zeiss out of the water, but I had reached no concrete conclusions. A leica for nikon cameras is very expensive, and hard to find, is it worth it?
